I have worked in Design rooms from the beachside designer Hippy Brands, a small Brisbane-based label and also London High St brands. I have now been with Cue for almost 9 years.

Skilled at:

Structured Soft Tailoring, understanding how garments need to be altered to fit well and teaching/mentoring others in these areas.

Why did you choose to work in fashion / textiles?

My mum showed me how to sew and alter store bought patterns from the age of 10, and what girl doesn't want to change or update her wardrobe so growing up having the skills to do so was a great thing! I wanted to then turn what was my passion into my career.

Best thing about the job?

Fashion is constantly changing so it keeps you on your toes, also it is a great feeling to see someone looking fantastic in something you helped make.

Favorite item of clothing?

Usually the last thing I bought or made for myself.

Best designer ever:

At college it was the 60's space age designers... Montana, Pierre Cardin, Courreges. More recently Thierry Mugler, Miuccia Prada, Tom Ford and Vivienne Westwood, for all very different reasons.
